    Yes, It blocks over 98% of the harmful UV rays in both its energized and un-energized state.

    Yes, It is considered a green product that consumes between 3 and 6 watts per meter squared.

    Yes, we offer a complete prewired custom kit.
  4. What is the difference between Smart Film Self Adhesive and Smart Film NON-Adhesive backings?
    Smart Film Glass offers a Self Adhesive and a Non-Adhesive switchable privacy film that has the ability to contour to the curves of various types of glass. Smart Film is very popular for projection screens, electronic blinds, white boards, and high tech window treatments. Smart Film switchable privacy film provides maximum clarity when energized and extreme privacy when powered off. The only difference between the two switchable films is that Self Adhesive has a peel and stick backing and or non-adhesive can be installed with a double sided adhesive clear 3m VHB tape.

    Yes, Smart Film is ideal with its extremely high gain rate to be used as a projection film.  We have many happy retail customers that utilize their store glass façade as a video billboard. 
  11.  Does Smart Film Work? 

​           Yes, when an electric current passes through the film, the liquid crystals will align themselves in order to let light pass through; when turned off, they will un-align again to             block visibility. This means that by simply flipping on or off an electrical switch, you can make your windows opaque or transparent in an instant!

​     12.  How much does Smart Film Cost?

​      13. What is the difference between smart film and smart glass?

             When you purchase Smart Glass the Smart Film is inside the glass either in a laminated or insulated (double pane) format. Because smart glass is laminated, it is the

             most durable option as the switchable film is protected from the elements. It is also easy to clean.​

When the power is switched off the liquid crystal molecules are randomly oriented scattering light and the our switchable Smart Film becomes opaque (frosted, private).

When the small electrical supply is switched on, the liquid crystal molecules align and incident light passes through and the our switchable  Smart Film instantly clears (transparent).
